This Week's Challenge

Men, Meaning+ Microdosing #3

Questions from the community.

Hey, Reader

Last week I encouraged you to share what you wanted to work on for the next 3 months if you were in therapy aka your treatment goals.

Here are the top 3 goals you reported in summary:

  1. Stress reduction
  2. Manage difficult emotions more successfully (anxiety, depression, anger, ADHD or combo)
  3. Maintain sobriety (relapse/recovery cycle work)

I always find discussions between social psychologists and clinical psychologists very fruitful. The term, "fractured demoralization" in the video below really stuck with me and is related to all 3 of the top goals above.

What if the treatment you needed most was a higher does of meaning in your life?

Worse, that constant connection can also take a toll on your quality of life and overload your senses. That’s why taking a break from your numerous social media apps and some time away from screens could help be good for your mental and physical health.

All that time online can cause:

Let's do this, Reader! See you next week.

The Tension between Pain + Peace Hey, Reader I’m not a flower guy. But these two red poppies—paper-thin, growing out of dry, cracked ground—stopped me in my tracks. They don't belong here. And that makes them really stand out. So I took a photo. I remember in elementary school we would recite, "In Flanders Fields", and stand in silence to respect and remember the fallen soldiers.
